Back to Work

That time that I went back to work.

I went back to work on April 2nd.

I walked into my office to find...

Whoa.

Aren't my co-workers FREAKIN AMAZING?

I love them to pieces and I'm NEVER taking these amazing banners down!!

What I thought-Coming Back to Work:

I'm not going to lie, I had mixed feelings about it.

I mean LOVE my job and the people I work with, but how much was I going to miss my Peanut?

What milestones won't I see when I'm not with her 24/7?

Will she become more attached to her babysitters than me?

Was it bad that I was excited about the following...?

  • Returning to adult conversations
  • Lunch dates with my downtown buddies
  • Being able to work out on my lunch break
  • GOODBYE Poptart meals!!!!

Needless to say, there was lots of shenanigans going on in my head.

What actually happened-Coming Back to Work:

It was much easier than I thought....

WHAT?!!?

I returned to my daily routines I couldn't stick to with a newborn.(Which has helped my weight loss, kept us away from the fast food (mostly...ish lol) and kept me sane)

My job is fun and it gives me a feeling of accomplishment which is important for self-awesome-ness.

Juliet started sleeping through the night the week I went back. (Thank you baby you're so dang awesome!)

When we wake her up in the morning she giggles and smiles at us like we are her favorite people in the world. (So I am pretty sure Steve & I are her favorites..I think ;) LOL)

Morning Smiles:

When she gets home at night she also plays and giggles away...

Here she is being a "Chatty Kathy" on Monday night:

So for the most part things have been pretty awesome.

But.....

Here's the part that sucks..........

Juliet rolled over on April 23rd.

And....

We STILL haven't seen it yet!!

Which makes me feel like zis:

That part of being working parents really does SUCK.

It makes me realize that there may be many more milestones we are going to miss. :(

And, unfortunately us working parents can't get those moments back.

But, if anyone is going to see it instead of me, I'm glad it's Grandma Beyer (Steve's Mom) who has Juliet 99% of the time (Because she is SUPER AWESOME!!!).

Plus she's trying her best to capture these moments for us on video.

Baby, just DON'T say your first word unless Mommy's there ok? PROMISE???

CROSSIES that is doesn't go down that way!

Overall, heading back to work has been a good thing. But I miss my little lady every day and REALLY miss seeing those milestones.

Love to my blog peeps,

Krista
