First cereal & Juliet's fiance

Friday night our good friends Jacquie and Brian & their son, Grady visited.

We've all been friends for a LONG time as we all went to KSU together. In fact, Brian introduced me to Steve. :)

Their son Grady is 7 weeks younger than JP.

We are so excited to have our kiddies so close in age!

So excited that...let's just say...the betrothal contract has been signed, a goat or two has been exchanged..and...

"Juliet & Grady are totes ENGAGED!!!"

heheheeee

Seeing as how our children will obviously be married one day, imagine our delight to discover they already couldn't keep their hands off each other!

Juliet went right for the hand holding move! She's her mother's daughter. :)

In other exciting news, JP tried her first rice cereal while our friends visited.

Since our kids are so close in age we sometimes exchange tips and milestones. We were happy to take our first attempt at cereal while Jac & B watched taking mental notes. :)

It ended up going so well we thought "Sweet. Maybe now she's ready for Lobster?"

What a good girl! She took her cereal like a champ! But WOW she is growing up FAST!

Here's JP hanging by the pool Saturday. ADORBS!

5 months!!!

Our little Lady turned 5 months yesterday!!! Can you believe it? We are almost halfway to her first birthday! OMG...our baby is growing up soo freakin fast!

She's sleeping through the night, sitting up on her own, reaching for toys and giggling away!

Things are getting very exciting!

BUT...

While Juliet's been thriving, we've had our fair share of challenges lately.....

Since she's been born we've had the following crap break:

  • Steve's Car Totaled in an accident. Turned out to be a good thing, now he has a 4 door instead of a 2 door.Better for Baby Transportation. ;) He was unhurt thankfully! Still wasn't fun though..
  • Garage Flooded
  • Garage Door Broke
  • Heating Broke
  • Air Conditioning Broke
  • AND....this past week, an electric wire busted in the wall and our power was out for a week.

I guess fate is just trying to keep stuff exciting for us eh? Oi Vey!!

With the power out last week, we shuffled between Nana & Grandpa Faro's House and Grandma & Grandpa Beyer's House. JP was excited to get extra time with her grandparents, but definitely missed home.

Thankfully, Grandpa & Grandma Beyer Saved the Day by working tirelessly all day last Saturday with Steve to replace the busted wire and install a new breaker box while I attended a wedding and Nana Faro played with JP.

We are so blessed to have such wonderfully helpful family in our lives. THANK YOU & we LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!

BUT...

The below cuteness makes everything better right? ;)

HECK YES IT DOES! LOL

Happy 5 months Baby! Mommy & Daddy love you sooo much!!

Father's Day

This past weekend brought us celebrating our first Father's Day for Steve!

I wanted to do something really special, so I came up with the idea of dressing JP up "as Daddy" and with the help of Cyndi at Bella Mi Photography....it turned out AMAZING!

Steve really loved it! :)

"Woe is me."-Teddy Bear

"And how do you feel about that?"-JP

(Steve is currently getting his PHD in Counseling Psychology at The University of Akron)

Father's Day also brought additional excitement as Juliet began to sit up on her own!!! Not even 5 months old yet (ok she has one day left lol) and sitting up! We are so very proud of our strong girl!

We had a great Father's Day getting to spend time with my family and Steve's! Here's a few pics of JP and my Daddy being silly.

And here she is with Grandpa Beyer. Awwww

Juliet's Christening

We celebrated Juliet's Christening on Sunday May 26th. It was a gorgeous day!

We were so thrilled to have our good friends, Susan & Justin as JP's Godparents.

We love you so much and are so happy you were up for the job!

Juliet's baptism gown was made by our friend Laura at A Bride's Design from my mother's wedding gown!! It turned out sooo beautiful and is a wonderful keepsake!

Laura also surprised us with a matching headband that Juliet will be able to use wear as her garter for her wedding.

Laura is also designing my sister Brittney's gown for her wedding this September and it is GORGEOUS!!! :)

The photos were taken by our good friend Kristin at The Crafty Giant!

Thank you Kristin! As always, they turned out great!

XOXO,

Krista

JP's first Giggle-fest

I laid Juliet down on the bathroom rug while I was getting her ready for her bath and I was lucky enough to witness her first time really laughing.

I yelled for Steve to come quick and we were able to get it on video!

Get ready to be blown away by adorable-ness! ;) lol

Don't Let Me Down!

OMG. We are SOOOOOOOOOOO doing this in 2 years!

So FREAKIN adorable!!!

Steve and I are huge fans of the Beatles and incorporated a lot of their songs into our wedding day....

I walked down the aisle to "In My Life" my Daddy-Daughter dance was to "Oh! Darling" and we named our wedding tables after our favorite songs.

Oh Man this is awesome!

Awesome Mommy

I think if Juliet ever looks back at my old Facebook posts, she'd think to herself....

"WOW my Mom is totally AWESOME"

Or....

She'll begin working on a way to remove all evidence of my shenanigans on the Internet.

Haha "bomb diggity". ;)
