We spent Saturday at our good friend Stacey's Bridal Shower with Juliet's Godmomma-to-be, our awesome friend Susan.:)
Here is Juliet with Stacey and her fiance Jesse. Sooooo cute eh? :)
Their wedding is 6/15/13!! WOOHOOO! Congrats guys!
4 month updates:
Juliet has been doing very well. She had her 4 month checkup this week and here are the stats: Weight: 14lbs 75% for weight
Height: 25inches!! 90% for height!!! AND............. the Doc said her eyes are going to stay blue!!!! I'm so glad she got her Daddy's gorgeous eyes!!! She has been sitting up like a pro and can "almost" sit up on her own. Here's a video of her trying.
Cyndi at Bella Mi does an AMAZING job, we love her!
Apparently Juliet (JP for short...Juliet Patricia) was her star model because Cyndi told us that most 3 month olds are not able to sit up (while supported) or smile and our little girl could do both!!! What??? AWESOME. lol
Beautiful outfit from our good friends Matt & Kristen :)
This gorgeous romper and custom hair piece was made by Shannon at Skylarroos. :)
Doesn't it look wonderful??
She looks good in Mommy's jewelry...
This is AMAZING! I have no words!!!
(The red hair bow is also by Shannon at Skylarroos which she hooked us up with at the last minute!! :) :) )
Ok I lied...I have some words...
I got the idea for this shoot after Steve & I purchased JP this Snow White outfit on sale and due to my obsession with Once Upon A Time....
I love them to pieces and I'm NEVER taking these amazing banners down!!
What I thought-Coming Back to Work:
I'm not going to lie, I had mixed feelings about it.
I mean LOVE my job and the people I work with, but how much was I going to miss my Peanut?
What milestones won't I see when I'm not with her 24/7?
Will she become more attached to her babysitters than me? Was it bad that I was excited about the following...?
Returning to adult conversations
Lunch dates with my downtown buddies
Being able to work out on my lunch break
GOODBYE Poptart meals!!!!
Needless to say, there was lots of shenanigans going on in my head.
What actually happened-Coming Back to Work:
It was much easier than I thought....
WHAT?!!?
I returned to my daily routines I couldn't stick to with a newborn.(Which has helped my weight loss, kept us away from the fast food (mostly...ish lol) and kept me sane)
My job is fun and it gives me a feeling of accomplishment which is important for self-awesome-ness.
Juliet started sleeping through the night the week I went back. (Thank you baby you're so dang awesome!)
When we wake her up in the morning she giggles and smiles at us like we are her favorite people in the world. (So I am pretty sure Steve & I are her favorites..I think ;) LOL)
Morning Smiles:
When she gets home at night she also plays and giggles away...
Here she is being a "Chatty Kathy" on Monday night:
So for the most part things have been pretty awesome.
But.....
Here's the part that sucks..........
Juliet rolled over on April 23rd.
And....
We STILL haven't seen it yet!!
Which makes me feel like zis:
That part of being working parents really does SUCK.
It makes me realize that there may be many more milestones we are going to miss. :(
And, unfortunately us working parents can't get those moments back.
But, if anyone is going to see it instead of me, I'm glad it's Grandma Beyer (Steve's Mom) who has Juliet 99% of the time (Because she is SUPER AWESOME!!!).
Plus she's trying her best to capture these moments for us on video.
Baby, just DON'T say your first word unless Mommy's there ok? PROMISE???
CROSSIES that is doesn't go down that way!
Overall, heading back to work has been a good thing. But I miss my little lady every day and REALLY miss seeing those milestones.
Here are some pictures and videos for Juliet's 2nd and 3rd month birthdays!
(Who looks SOOO much like Daddy? This Lady Does!)
Our little Peanut has been growing great and getting cuter and cuter....
(And cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter and cuter!!!)
LOL
Things have been very crazy but sooo wonderful!
Lately she has been discovering her hands (and finds them delicious) and can hold a rattle on her own.
For the most part, she has been sleeping through the night and her fussy periods are shrinking more and more.
Basically....
She's the best baby the world! ;) heheheeeeeeeeeee
April 2nd was my first day back to work and I'm going to be putting up a post on "Back to Work" next week.
Step One: Observation Juliet is chewing her hands, spitting out her pacifier and crying. It has been about two hours since she last ate, she must be hungry. Step Two: Interpretation & Preparation I prepare zee bottle. Step Three: Distribution I give the bottle to Juliet, she appears to be drinking it, but when I check it almost no formula has come out. Then, she passes out to snooze.
Ok....
Step Four: Reevaluate
Ok she must not be hungry. I set the bottle down on the coffee table and don't put it back in the fridge so I don't have to heat it up again when she actually is hungry...which should be soon because it's been 2 hours since she last ate.
BUT I only have one hour before it goes bad..............
Step Five: Attempt to Move On
I put her in her chair to sleep. And attempt to get something else done. 20 minutes go by.
